TUTORIAL: Strike Claims

Welcome, welcome to Zombie Bunny Strike Claiming tutorial! Here we will go over how Strike Claiming will happen for all our Rounds!
1. The Preview
A couple of days prior to the offical Stike Claiming, I will post a preview on both the Facebook Group of the actual fabric and on all the graphics on the Strike Claiming page here on the website. Be sure to check the Preview out so you can see what your options are and begin thinking about what you would like to make.
2. The Strike Claiming
*Important information that you need to know prior to Claiming!*
We have tried to guess-timate which prints and panels will be the most popular when ordering our strike fabric, but sometimes we underestimate (or overestimate, lol!) what will be popular in Strike Claiming! Some patterns/collections might get claimed quicker than others, so please be prepared with a backup option when going to claim strikes! *We do hold back a yard or so of fabric and sometimes a few panels in case something gets over sold during the Claiming process; you can always check in with me if we have any backstock for a pattern you missed out on!
All strike sewists are allotted up to 2 yards of fabric, 4 panels, and 3 yards of lanyard (when available) for free! All that we ask is that the majority of your claim goes towards your strike(s). Please stay within this allottment to allow everyone the chance to get what they'd like/need for their own strikes.
Only claim either The Graveyard Shift OR the individual Strike Fabric. Do not claim both.
The Strike Claiming Section

The top section (circled in Pink) goes over all important information that you've read here as well as additional information such as the Claim Code (highlighted in Green) and notes on Personal Fabric (highlighted in Yellow). This section will change with additional information when we switch over to Personal Buys.
The Claim Code is very important when you go through your Claiming checkout! This will deduct the amount off to get your strike for free - this code will also change from Round to Round and can only be used once!
During the initial Claiming for strikes, due to how we price things for the Claim Code discount and in fairness to all other Sewists, that no Personal Buys be added to your claim. Please stay within the allotment for striking!
We do Specialty Cuts aka Fat Halfs! If your project requires fat halfs instead of half yards, let us know in the Notes section during your checkout and we will try our best to accomodate the request!
Picking Your Fabric

This is an example of what you might see when you get to the Claiming portion of the page! Highlighted in Pink is the special Strike Claiming pricing - this will be removed once the Claim Code is applied.
Panel sizing will be a variety, but not all sizing that we offer will be represented. We try to include at least one smaller panel and one larger panel in Strikes, but sometimes this isn't always possible. All panels offered will be in Cotton Woven and Cotton Spandex.
Fabric selection will always have the option of Cotton Woven and Cotton Spandex, with sometimes the inclusion of vinyls, canvases, or Bamboos, depending on the mood I was in when ordering strikes (LOL!). We usually order about 5 yards of each base.
The Graveyard Shift is a fun way of keeping our older prints out there and to advertise our Graveyard! These are Mystery Boxes that you can pick your overall theme for - Disney, Non-Disney, Vinyl, or Surprise Me! and if you have thoughts on what bases you'd like, you can include that in your notes. The Graveyard Shift is at least two strike projects - you'll receive two yards of fabric, assorted panels that match, and a variety of different, extra goodies!
Checking Out

Once you start adding your Claim to your cart, if you have any notes you'd like to let us know about - whether that is you'd like your fabric cut in Fat Halfs, are looking for additional yardage for a sold out fabric or a missing panel, you will want to add that here.

Finally, at the last page of Checkout, you will want to add the Claim Code to the Discount/Gift Card field to apply the discount code!
And that is it! Once you have checked out and submitted your Claim, we will process your Claim and will get it out in the mail! If you have any questions about how Claiming works, don't hesitate to post in our Facebook Group!
